Teriyaki Chicken Thighs on the Griddle
Description
Boneless skinless chicken thighs marinated in Mr. Yoshida's Original Gourmet Sauce with fresh garlic, then cooked on a hot griddle until juicy, golden, and perfectly caramelized.
Ingredients
Instructions
-
Pat the chicken dry and season lightly with salt and pepper on both sides.
-
Place the chicken in a large zip-lock bag or shallow dish. Pour Mr. Yoshida's sauce generously over every piece, lay the garlic cloves on top, seal, and refrigerate at least 2 hours, ideally overnight.
-
About 20–30 minutes before cooking, remove the chicken from the fridge to come toward room temperature.
-
Preheat a flat griddle over medium-high heat. Remove the chicken from the marinade, shaking off excess, and place on the griddle.
-
Cook undisturbed 5–6 minutes until deeply golden and released naturally, then flip and cook another 5–7 minutes until cooked through and caramelized.
-
Check for 165°F internal temperature with a meat thermometer.
-
Rest 5 minutes before serving.
Note
Works equally well on an outdoor grill over medium-high heat — watch the sauce closely so it caramelizes without burning.

Boneless, skinless chicken thighs:
2. Bring to room temperature. About 20–30 minutes before cooking, pull the chicken from the fridge so it cooks evenly.
4. Check and rest. Confirm 165°F internal temperature with a meat thermometer, then let the chicken rest 5 minutes before serving.
