Pour the flour into a mixing bowl and make a small well in the middle for the yeast. Sprinkle in the yeast and a little bit of warm water. Mix the yeast with the water and a little bit of flour and let the yeast develop for a couple of minutes.
Once the yeast starts bubbling add salt, sugar, vegetable oil and the rest of the warm water to it and mix ingredients with a dough hook for about 5 - 7 minutes until dough is smooth.
Form dough into a ball and let it rise until double in size. It will take about 30 - 40 minutes, if sitting in a warm spot. Make sure you cover with a tea towel or some clear wrap.
Take dough out of bowl and start cutting it into smaller parts approximately 2 oz each. Use a scale. Should yield about 14 pieces.
Roll them all into little balls. Prepare a small bowl with egg yolk and water.
Take each ball and brush it with egg wash. Then press it into the seeds of your choice. Arrange the buns in a round form.
When arranging the buns make sure you switch it up so it looks good.
Cover with a towel again and let rise for another 20 - 30 minutes.
Pre-heat oven to 425°F.
Once the rolls are doubled in size, bake them for 30 minutes.
Take them out of the oven and wait for about 5-10 minutes and slide them out of the frame.
Let them cool down completely.
Use them as a centerpiece and let everyone stuff them with whatever they have in mind.
Enjoy!
